internet problems

i'm having loads of trouble with my dsl.

keeps going down.

any idea why?

First have you talked with your isp provider?

That would be my first port of call also. Call your service provider and tell them what's happening. It's possible that they're doing some maintenance work around your area. If there is a bigger problem than that then I'm sure they'd send an engineer out to look at your modem to see if perhaps it has a problem.

iIt could be your outside phoneline that's faulty. Last year, shortly before we got our wireless live box, our Speedtouch DSL kept kicking me off when I wanted to go online. It would disconnect around 4 or 5 times before it settled down and let me go online, so I'd contact both your service provider and BT or whoever your landline network provider is and they'll check your outside line for faults. We live in quite an old house and our phone line was warn out almost straight through, so I've no idea how we managed to get Broadband through it.
